The name Norala was came from the famous river which is the Ala River and it was divided into two division the North Ala and South Ala. And as the years past by it was already called Norala and Surallah.

The Municipality was composed of 14 Barangays. And Norala was also known as the Rice Bowl of the South because three-forth of the land was plated by palay.

MAYAD NGA NORALA! MAYAD GID! Norala trully mayad because even though there was a lot of struggles and circumstances, Noralians can still face in your front with a wide smile and full of positivity. And also Norala was a drug free municipality.
